About xiQ
xiQ is the leading Buyer Intelligence platform helping revenue teams understand how buyers think, make decisions, and engage. Unlike traditional sales intelligence platforms that focus on data and activity, xiQ combines behavioral science, personality intelligence, account intelligence, sales triggers, and AI-powered guidance to help sellers engage more effectively and close complex enterprise deals faster. xiQ's platform is built on neuroscience, psychology, and AI to deliver actionable buyer intelligence throughout the revenue lifecycle. xiQ is entering its next growth phase and is expanding its enterprise sales capacity.
Position Overview
The Director of Sales is a senior individual contributor responsible for personally generating new enterprise revenue for xiQ. This is a quota-carrying role focused on new logo acquisition, expansion within named accounts, and revenue sourced through strategic partnerships. This is a selling role, not a management role. The Director of Sales carries an individual quota and is measured on personal bookings, pipeline generation, and forecast accuracy. Sales strategy, coverage design; this role contributes to that thinking from the field and executes against it. Success requires operating with a high degree of autonomy in a growth-stage environment — building territory from limited existing coverage, running complex enterprise cycles end to end, and creating repeatable motions that can later be handed to a broader team.
- Quota Achievement. Own and deliver an individual annual bookings target of $2,500,000, made up of new logo revenue, expansion within assigned accounts, and partner-sourced opportunities. Build and maintain pipeline coverage of at least [3x] quota at all times.
- Enterprise New Business. Prospect, qualify, and close enterprise opportunities from first contact to signature. Run consultative, value-based sales cycles: discovery, executive engagement, business-case development, commercial negotiation, and close. Engage senior and C-suite decision-makers and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying committees.
- Pipeline Generation. Personally generate the majority of your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, network development, event follow-up, and partner referral. Meet agreed weekly and monthly activity and pipeline-creation standards.
- Strategic Partnerships. Identify, develop, and maintain partner relationships — sales enablement organizations, consulting firms, and revenue operations firms — that produce qualified opportunities in your territory. Manage joint pursuits from introduction through close and report partner-sourced contribution against target.
- Account Expansion. Work alongside Client Success to identify and close cross-sell and upsell opportunities within assigned accounts, secure executive sponsorship, and develop referenceable clients.
- Forecasting and CRM Discipline. Maintain an accurate, current forecast for your own book. Keep opportunity data, stage criteria, next steps, and close dates rigorously up to date in [Salesforce / HubSpot]. Participate in weekly pipeline reviews with clear articulation of deal status, risk, and required support.
- Market Engagement and Product Feedback. Represent xiQ credibly with clients, partners, and at industry events. Bring structured field intelligence — competitive positioning, objection patterns, feature gaps, pricing feedback — back to Marketing and Product.
- Minimum 8+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience, preferably in SaaS or AI-based technology.
- Consistent track record of personally achieving individual quotas of $2.5M+ in enterprise software, with references or documented attainment history.
- Demonstrated success closing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals with average deal sizes of $100,000+ and sales cycles of [six months] or longer.
- Proven ability to self-generate pipeline through outbound prospecting and network development — not solely inbound or marketing-sourced.
- Experience developing and selling through partner or channel relationships as a contributor to individual quota.
- Strong forecasting discipline and demonstrable accuracy on a personal book of business.
- Experience selling to C-suite stakeholders in enterprise organizations.
- Excellent negotiation, executive communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement platforms; Salesforce or HubSpot experience preferred.
- Ability to travel as required to support clients, partners, conferences, and strategic opportunities.
